Adriana G. Luna Santos — From Caguas to Notre Dame

From Caguas, Adriana G. Luna Santos is a shining example of the transformative power of education when combined with the right support. Her story—built through years of effort, resilience, and guidance—reflects how the Kinesis Foundation can change lives and open doors for young people with big dreams and a deep desire to succeed. 

From her high school years, Adriana knew she wanted to achieve ambitious goals. A dedicated student, she attended CIMATEC, a school that had already given her access to a competitive curriculum and laid the groundwork for a successful college journey. However, it was through her involvement in the Kinesis Foundation’s Bright Stars program that she was truly able to take the leap that helped her stand out. 

Adriana went on to be accepted at the prestigious University of Notre Dame, where she graduated in 2025 with a degree in Neuroscience & Behavior. During her time there, she distinguished herself by participating in highly selective programs such as the Mary E. Galvin Science and Engineering Scholars Program and the National Honor Society in Neuroscience. She also stayed connected to her roots through her involvement in the Puerto Rican Student Association of Notre Dame (PRSAND). 

Adriana recalls that, even though her school had prepared her well, she still felt that something was missing—personalized guidance and that extra push to help her reach her full potential. The Kinesis Foundation didn’t just help her enhance her academic profile; it also gave her the confidence to face every challenge with determination and without fear of failure. 

Today, Adriana not only celebrates her academic accomplishments but also acknowledges the lasting impact Kinesis has had on her life. “Kinesis has been with me at every stage, guiding me, equipping me, and supporting me to become the person I am today,” she shares with deep gratitude. This support allowed her to focus fully on her studies without the burden of financial stress—something many students are not fortunate enough to experience. 

For Adriana, the road to success hasn’t been easy, but the Foundation and its donors made all the difference between giving up and moving forward. Her story is a powerful reminder to believe in yourself and never give up—because with hard work and the right support, the sky truly is the limit.
