To be competitive, Puerto Rico needs a highly skilled workforce, but 73% of the adult population lacks postsecondary education.
UNDER-RESOURCED SCHOOLS
Education is the key, but our schools face a severe staff shortage: each counselor serves an average of 571 students.

Twice as poor as the nation's poorest state, with a child poverty rate of 57% compared to 14% in the United States.
